Properties

Name Meaning
Store (store) Defines the type of Google Play store to query. Options: Apps, Audiobooks, Books, Movies, TV.
Product ID (product_id) The unique identifier of the product you want to get information or reviews for.
Additional Fields Collection of optional parameters to customize the search:
- Country (gl) Country code to use for the Google search (e.g., "us" for United States). Many country codes supported.
- Language (hl) Language code to use for the search results (e.g., "en" for English). Many language codes supported.
- Season ID (season_id) ID of a season to get results for; applicable only when store is set to TV.
- Show All Reviews (all_reviews) Boolean flag to indicate whether to show all reviews of the product. Default is false.
- Filter By Platform (platform) Filters reviews by platform type (car, chromebook, phone, tablet, tv, watch). Used only if all_reviews is true.
- Filter By Rating (rating) Filters reviews by star rating (1 to 5). Used only if all_reviews is true.
- Sort By Relevance (sort_by) Sorts reviews by relevance criteria: Most relevant, Newest, or Rating. Used only if all_reviews is true.
- Number of Results (num) Maximum number of reviews to return (e.g., 40, 80, 100). Max allowed is 199. Used only if all_reviews is true.
- Next Page Token (next_page_token) Token to retrieve the next page of review results. Used only if all_reviews is true.
- Disable Caching (no_cache) Boolean flag to force fetching new results instead of cached ones. Default is false. Cannot be used together with async.
- Async (async) Boolean flag to perform the search asynchronously. Default is false. Cannot be used together with no_cache. Not recommended for accounts with Ludicrous Speed enabled.
- ZeroTrace Mode (zero_trace) Enterprise-only boolean flag to skip storing search parameters and metadata on SerpApi servers. Default is false.
- Output (output) Defines the format of the final output: JSON (structured data) or html (raw HTML). Default is JSON.
- JSON Restrictor (json_restrictor) Restricts fields returned in the JSON response, e.g., limiting to certain fields of the first few organic results.

Output

The node outputs a JSON object containing the structured results retrieved from the Google Play product search via SerpApi. This includes detailed product metadata and optionally user reviews depending on the input parameters.

If the output property is set to html, the raw HTML content of the search result page is returned instead.

Binary data output is not indicated for this node.

Dependencies

  • Requires an active SerpApi account with a valid API key credential configured in n8n.
  • The node makes HTTP requests to SerpApi's endpoint at https://serpapi.com/search.json.
  • No other external dependencies are required.

Troubleshooting

  • Invalid or missing product ID: Ensure the Product ID field is correctly filled with a valid Google Play product identifier.
  • API key issues: If authentication fails, verify that the API key credential is properly set up and has sufficient quota.
  • Conflicting parameters: The no_cache and async options cannot be used simultaneously; choose one based on your use case.
  • Exceeded review limits: When requesting reviews, the maximum number of results per search is 199; requesting more may cause errors.
  • Pagination tokens: Using an invalid or expired next_page_token will result in no additional results; ensure tokens are used sequentially.
  • Language and country codes: Use valid ISO codes for hl and gl properties to avoid unexpected results or errors.
  • Enterprise features: The zero_trace mode is enterprise-only; enabling it without proper account permissions may cause failures.
